R.I.P. Jimmy Ranallo Jr.

(12/9/86 - 4/10/08)

If you are from the 732 area code, and possibly even many area codes away and you were into the hardcore music scene, you knew who Jimmy Ranallo was, and if you didn't you were nobody. This is not my case, I got the opportunity to grow up with Jimmy just living a few houses away from him. In grade school we would meet up and walk to Scholer Park everyday after school and skateboard or throw a football around, it was amazing. Jimmy and I used to go to Jets games with his father and his fathers big red beard when it was -20deg. out and have the time of our lives. During our early highschool days, Jimmy would be seen at Skateboardcity manualing his skateboard down the entire hill and kickflippin' up curbs. That was his thing, it was what made him happy and he didnt give a fuck if you thought it was cool or not, and thats how Jimmy was and is what made Jimmy, Jimmy. He is one kid that would do anyhting for his friends, or even his friends friends, if you had a problem he would be there at anytime for any reason and he has been there for me more than once. Later in highschool we went our own ways and he made friends by the millions. He was a very well respected kid in the scene he was in, and speaking of friends by the millions, I would like to give a shout out to every single mother-fucker that put any type of time, effort and support into getting Jimmy a proper burial. It's amazing to see the following that has come out and showed they're love, whether its myspace, a visit to the parents, or writing R.I.P on your notebook while you're in class, it all counts and means very much to alot of people. Pour one out for our fucking homie!
REST IN PEACE. One love. <3

this is a song i want to dedicate to jimmy.

party down for jimmy

To all my friends, present past and beyond
Especially those who weren't with us too long
Life is the most precious thing you can lose
While you were here the fun was never ending
Laugh a minute was only beginning
jimmy ranallo, jessica neal this one's for you

Ever get the feeling you can't go on
Just remember whose side it is that you're on
You've got friends with you till the end
If you're ever in a tough situation
We'll be there with no hesitation
Brotherhood's our rule we cannot bend

When you're feeling too close to the bottom
You know who it is you can count on
Someone will pick you up again
We can conquer anything together
All of us are bonded forever
If I die you die that's the way it is.
